Based on numerous singing teaching methods, I have developed my own method.
This method is based on 3 most important things:
The correct vowel form. Have you perhaps noticed that sometimes the same note in different parts of a work can be either very easy or extremely difficult? Then please look at which vowel has to be sung on which note - in 99 cases out of 100 the "comfortable" note will have to be sung on a different vowel than the "uncomfortable" note. Very important for someone who wants to learn to sing beautifully to understand that the vowel sound in normal speaking and the vowel sound in singing are two completely different things. Beautiful, balanced sound and good legato are not possible without this.
The right place of the sound, this must not be too low for high voices and must not be too high for low voices. This is the reason for many problems with high tones.
And of course you have to know exactly how the breath works when singing and be able to use “deep” breathing. The deepest bass voice and the lightest coloratura soprano voice use the same "deep" breathing technique, which ensures the volume of the voice is completely natural - without any hint of screaming. Also, the beautiful vibrato in the high tones is due to the sufficient amount of air, which is not possible with the "high" breathing style.
In addition, we will focus on style and language skills. In the last couple of years, I had the wonderful opportunity to sing in Italy Belcanto (Rossini and Donizetti), in Germany Baroque music, Mozart and Wagner and in Russia Tchaikovsky and Glinka in large opera houses under famous conductors, including major and even title roles. Therefore, I can give my students extensive expert knowledge regarding style and language.
I do not only consider the work on the pronunciation of the words to be essential, but also the work on the feeling for the language in connection with the meaning of the text.
During my career I had the privilege of working with various famous directors. Thanks to this experience, I also have the ability to teach my students the importance of presentation and performance, the feeling and charisma, the gestures and facial expressions that singers have to bring with them, when performing on stage.
My specialty is the individual approach of every single student, from warm-up exercises to psychological support. We will focus especially on building an individual repertoire, that unfolds the voice of the student to its fullest extent and brings out the best in you.
